Trauma Enhanced Leadership and Learning

As we better understand the impact and true cost of trauma for individuals, the people who surround them, and for services, the challenge for leaders and practitioners is how to transition their services from being trauma aware to trauma skilled and responsive This requires a multi-strategy approach and trauma skilled leadership.

The Trauma Enhanced Leadership and Learning programme will help you evaluate where your service is on its trauma informed journey and identify key steps and strategies to build on this.

This programme is aimed at practitioners and service leads with a key role in creating an environment where staff and the people they support and/or interact with feel safe and supported.

Importantly, it will also provide you with practical models and skills to lead professional briefings, debriefs and post occurrence reviews.

Participants in this programme will:

• Consider the key steps in becoming a trauma informed service and evaluate where they are on their own journey.
• Identify the key skills and competencies required at their service, benchmarking to national trauma skills frameworks
• Develop personal skills in delivering high level briefings and trauma sensitive debriefs and post-occurrence reviews, using TAG’s structured models
• Identify resilience – shame sensitive practice – re traumatisation
• Create supportive, learning teams and CULTURE – reflective practice
