People who directly support adults or children and young people who have experienced trauma need the practical skills to do so in a trauma informed and shame sensitive way.
This training is especially important for people who work in health, education and social care. It provides the understanding and skills local services and teams need to become trauma informed in practice, not just words and aspirations.
We believe that it is the colleagues who support people day to day who can make the biggest difference for someone, and we give them the skills to help ensure it is a positive one.
Psychological trauma frameworks are consistent in recommending everyone who interacts with people who may have experienced trauma should be ‘Trauma Skilled’.
The programme includes prior learning online and a practical, in-person skills-based course
The course was engaging, in-depth and wonderfully practical, I felt that the trainers knew the subject inside out. This stuff changes lives, and I'm so excited to put it into practice.
